What is the importance of a literature review in an architecture dissertation?



An architecture dissertation contains all the aspects of design and development. Several models and computer related aspects are also included in it so that the entire dissertation gives a formidable look. There are several important chapters that are important in the development phase of a dissertation and that is the reason why these chapters are given utmost importance. However, the literature review as implied by the named is a theoretical analysis of several aspects which gives a combined affect to the entire dissertation. A literature review usually consists of 3000 or more words and it is considered as the heart of a dissertation. Literature reviews usually represents a critical view of the dissertation and several theories utilized in the research. All in all it can be said that literature review is the crux of the dissertation and it contains all the core aspects of a dissertation.
